Ratings and poll votes
To stop one person voting a thousand times, we derive a one-way hash from your IP address and browser user-agent. The raw IP is never stored. The hash cannot be reversed and is not linked to any identity.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your email address and the date you signed up, and use it only to send the recap. Unsubscribe at any time from the link in any issue.
Push notifications
If you enable alerts in the Android or iOS app, we store the device token the operating system issues us, plus the platform name. It is used only to deliver breaking-news alerts and is discarded when the token is revoked.
On-device storage
Offline reads, your saved ratings and your volume preference are stored in local storage on your device. They are never uploaded. Clearing app data removes them.
What we do not do
No third-party advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling, and no sale of personal data.
